Options and Equipment

A very notable fact about this car is that it is the first year of this more advanced, better equipped model.  In prior years the comparable model was the 850 series, which you may be familiar with?  This one is a non-turbo (lower insurance and less cost to maintain) and automatic with full power and convenience features and original rear spoiler. It has ABS and side airbags also.  It has a special order interior, which is a combination of what Volvo calls 'leatherette' with textured cloth.  I added factory Volvo wheels from a much newer car, which makes it look more current and modern.

History of Ownership

Has had 3 total owners.  Was bought new by a local middle-age man who was a military officer and he took delivery of it in Sweden.  The middle-age man I bought it from is a successful, local broker.

 

History of Care

Wow, this car has been taken great care of.  The last owner gave me a stack of receipts from Lindorphs, which is the premier independent shop in the Rogue Valley. Has almost new tires. And the Carfax actually shows that it had a major service (apparently suggested 60k items) at the dealer at 61k. This car runs, drives and performs absolutely fantastic.

You Might Like To Know...

When I found this car several months ago, it was so nice that I knew it was a car I wanted to drive for a while. After driving it for several thousand miles in all conditions, I must say it is a super nice car to be in and drive.  And typical for a Volvo, it feels solid and safe and is a joy.

 

Summary of this Gem

A super example of an affordable mid-size Volvo with well below average miles. And this one is all original and immaculate.  And because it is the first year of this new evolution, it looks and functions the same as one several years newer...which have a much higher price.

 

The Kelley blue book (most commonly used reference guide) suggests retail value for this vehicle is: Sorry, there is no source that accurately indicates value for this age of vehicle with such low miles, modern features, exceptional history and superb overall condition.
