Options and
Equipment
THE VAN:
This began as a
1/2 ton Ford
van. It has a
5.8 (medium size
V8) gas engine
and overdrive
transmission.
There is common,
full power and
convenience
features from
the factory with
dual A/C and
also a very long
list of extras.
It was converted
when new by the
premium company
called 'Regency'
which performed
what most folks
would call a
'cruising' or
'touring'
conversion.
As you can see
in the photos,
this is a very
luxurious
conversion (one
of the finest I
have seen) with
extensive
cosmetic and
functional
improvements and
additions inside
and out.
EXTRA GOODIES:
Some of the
added features
are: very fancy
leather seats
throughout with
full power on
both front
positions and
even power
lower-back
support on both.
The rear seat is
power reclining
and folds flat
to a bed and has
an extension
which makes it a
2-person bed.
There are large
tinted windows
with opening
vents, quality
blinds,
extensive
lighting,
beautiful real
wood features
throughout and 2
stereo systems
including a
remote control
10 disc CD
player! And on
the outside
there are custom
wheels, roof
rack, graphics,
running boards
and flares and
much more.
MOBILITY:
Summary of
features: Has a
crow-River lift
out the side
with a
split-folding
ramp---Full-range
power transfer
seat in the
right front
position---EZ-Loc
(the best)
electronic
wheelchair
anchor---6 inch
dropped floor
with wonderful
commercial-grade
rubberized
flooring.
TWO NOTABLE
PLUSES:
As for the
mobility
conversion, it
is rare and
uncommon for two
particular
reasons. First,
there are very
few full size
vans with a
LOWERED FLOOR
such as this
one. Typically,
extra headroom
is achieved via
raised roofs on
full size vans
and lowered
floors on
minivans. This
van has the
interior and
entry height you
may want and
need, but
without the
appearance of
being a
wheelchair van
that the raised
roofs lead to.
And this has
better ECONOMY
due to much less
wind drag than a
raised roof van.
And many
mobility-challenged
folks tell me
that they don't
want to be in a
van that looks
like a
wheelchair
van...this one
looks nothing
like one.
The second
reason this is
unusual is
because it has
the ability to
split and fold
the ramp, which
allows for
access in and
out of the
sliding door
even when the
ramp is up. This
is a super (and
uncommon)
feature for when
you want to have
passengers in
the rear seat
and don't want a
platform
blocking
movement of
folks in and out
when the lift is
retracted.

History of
Ownership
Had one owner in
Texas until
about 10,000
miles ago.
I found it via
an estate and
brought it here.

History of Care
I bought this
from an estate
and as is often
the case, they
did not have the
printed history
of care, but
please read the
note to your
right regarding
Carfax info.
Also, I am
very familiar
with the
condition of
this van,
because I
personally drove
it more than
2,000 miles to
bring it here. I
drove it in such
extremes as 100
degree weather
for hours and
hours and also
over the 11,000
foot pass west
of Denver. This
van is
fantastic! And
as part of my
rejuvenation
process every
van is inspected
and anything
needed is
repaired or
serviced. The
only thing of
note that was
needed and is
now completed
was front brakes
and bearings. It
currently runs,
drives and
functions as
great as it
looks.
NOTABLE ADDED
VALUE: For some
inexplicable
reason, the
transmission had
problems when I
bought it.
Therefore, in
the beginning of
my trip I had
the transmission
entirely
rebuilt. My
wholesale cost
for this was
nearly $2,000.
It performed
flawlessly once
rebuilt...and it
was surely
'tested' on the
trip.
As part of
my 'Rick's
rejuvenated''
process for
wheelchair vans,
each mobility
component is
inspected,
serviced,
adjusted and
repaired (if
needed) by the
premium company
in this area
which
exclusively
cares for
wheelchair vans.

Carfax Report
Summary
(Carfax is a widely used database which indicates the history
of a vehicle including accidents, prior owners, etc.)
All good, no
derogatory
history.
*** A good
thing: As
occasionally
happens, this
report shows
numerous
incidents of
history
regarding
maintenance and
care. This is
usually a result
of having been
serviced at a
new-car dealer,
because they are
usually the only
shops which
report in such a
way that it
becomes
indicated on
Carfax. |

You Might Like
To Know...
* Full size vans
with lowered
floors are rare
and desirable
* Each of my
vans has a
superb paint
sealant as the
final step of
the extreme
detail.
The typical cost
of this
treatment is
several hundred
dollars.
* This van has
excellent
function AND is
attractive
too...sure, why
not ? :)
* On my trip
which included
some extreme
conditions, the
lowest MPG I
experienced was
15.5 and the
best was 17.5.
I consider this
very good for a
van of this
size, features,
comfort, etc.

Summary of this
Gem
Here you have
another 'Rick's
Rejuvenated'
wheelchair van.
Which means; it
is absolutely,
beautifully
immaculate
inside and out.
And the van and
mobility
features have
been extensively
serviced. And it
has super low
miles, desirable
lowered floor,
helpful
split-folding
platform, power
transfer seat,
electric EZ-Loc
chair anchor and
more. And it is
one of the
highest quality,
most highly
equipped
'touring' or
'cruising'
conversions
made. I
don't believe it
would be
possible to
surpass the
overall value
which this van
represents.
